Privacy Policy

HintPulse is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. There are no user accounts, no login, and no forms that collect personal information.

Cloudflare collects basic analytics automatically (page views, country, browser type). This data is aggregated and anonymous. It cannot identify individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

HintPulse stores items in your browser's localStorage: your dark/light theme preference, your hearts and streak, and your progress in our games (Blip Box, Blip Hive). This data stays on your device and is never sent to any server.

Daily reminders (optional). If you tap "Remind me" after a game, your browser creates a push subscription. We store only that subscription, the games you picked, your reminder hour and your time zone, to send at most one notification a day. Turn it off with the same button or in your browser's site settings; we delete the subscription when you do or when it stops working.

Daily email (optional). If you enter your email address after a game or on our games page, we first send one email asking you to confirm; nothing else is sent until you do, and unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 7 days. We store only the address, your hour and time zone, and send at most one email a day with that day's puzzles. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which deletes the address. Emails are sent with Cloudflare Email Service.

Play counts. When you play one of our games, your browser sends an anonymous note (game, played or won, first time or days since the last play). We keep only daily totals. There is no visitor id, no cookie and no IP address stored.

HintPulse uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare Pages — Hosting and CDN. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP address, headers) to serve pages and protect against abuse. IP addresses are not stored long-term.
• Google Fonts — Typography. Your browser downloads font files from Google's servers, which logs standard request data (IP, user agent). See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
• Google AdSense — Advertising (when enabled). AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on browsing history. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time.

HintPulse does not collect personal data directly. The third-party services listed above process limited technical data as described.

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

• Request information about what data is processed
• Opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings
• Clear your localStorage by opening your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → hintpulse.com → Clear)
