How to play Conexo

Conexo presents 16 words on a board. Your goal is to find four groups of four words that share a hidden connection: a common theme, category, or relationship.

Tap four words you think belong together and submit. If correct, the group is revealed with its theme and color. Unlike NYT Connections, you get unlimited guesses with no mistake limit.

Groups are color-coded by difficulty: orange is the easiest, green is easy, teal is medium, and purple is the hardest. The purple group often uses abstract associations, wordplay, or double meanings.

Conexo also has built-in hints you can use. A new puzzle is available every day at midnight BRT. The game was created in Brazil and is available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Tips

• ›Start with the orange (easiest) group. Look for the most obvious category first. Once you remove those four words, the remaining groups become clearer.
• ›Watch for words with double meanings. A word like 'bat' could relate to animals, sports equipment, or Batman. The trickier groups exploit these ambiguities intentionally.
• ›Use process of elimination. If three words clearly belong together and you are unsure about the fourth, test different combinations. With unlimited guesses, you can experiment freely.
